Art Lessons for Adults and
Children
I
teach a wide variety of Adult and Children's Art Lessons. See below for some
of the classes I teach, all of which can be geared for any age level.

Adult
Art Classes:

The cost of the classes vary according to the length of class, and
how many classes are in the session. In a typical four class session, each class is
one hour long, with a minimum of 8 students, where I supply all the materials,
including a glass frame, the cost per student is around #48.00. A six week session
is $68.00.
The subject matter can change for each medium.

Splash of
Color
Watercolor Basics
Students
will use learn how to use watercolor paint. This class will teach you the basics of
setting up your palette, to mixing primary colors into secondary and tertiary colors. A
variety of techniques will be explored. We will concentrate on basic painting techniques. If you have ever wanted to explore with water
paint this is the class for you, it will be fun and relaxed. If you have already painted this is a great
refresher class!
Splashes of Falls Color
Students
will observe the fall colors on a variety of leaves from trees and plants. They will use
watercolor paint to recreate these leaves in a painting.
They will learn how to mix paint to match the colors they are seeing. They will also be amazed at the fun effects that
watercolor paint has. A variety of
techniques will be explored. They will
also have the opportunity to work with black ink, and pastels to create a mixed media
painting |
Oil
Pastels Art Class
Students will develop
basic drawing skills to create sketches. They
will create a painting using oil pastels. A variety of techniques will be taught. In the final class they will then learn how to mat
and frame these paintings under glass. Every student will go home with a painting ready to
hang!
Gifts from the ART- Great for a Birthday Party!
“Art Gift”
Using Watercolor paints participants
will create hand designed greeting cards, or small framed paintings. This is a great way
to learn basic watercolor and end class with a completed project , you can keep the
painting or give as a gift - a gift from the “art”!

Draw and Doodle
Students will learn
basic drawing techniques to create realistic pencil renderings working from a still life
set up. They will work on these sketches with
pencil to develop the concepts of value, composition, principles of depth and perspective. They will also explore the fun expression of
doodling to create their own designs using black and colored line. In the last class each student will frame the
final piece.
Art
Class – “I Like It!”
Students
need to bring in a picture – photo, calendar picture or magazine photo of something
they really like a lot to use as the main image in their painting. Students will develop basic drawing skills to
create sketches. They will work on these sketches with watercolor paints, pastels and/or
ink. A variety of techniques will be taught.
In the final class they will then learn how to frame one painting under glass. Every
student will go home with a painting ready to hang!
Mixed
Media Art Class
Students will develop
basic drawing skills to create sketches. They will work on these sketches with pen &
ink, watercolor and oil pastels. A wide variety of techniques will be taught. In the
final class they will then learn how to mat and frame these paintings under glass. Every
student will go home with a painting ready to hang! |
